The Frida Kahlo embroidery workshop is a fun, relaxed hands-on class where participants create a vibrant, modern embroidery design inspired by the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, featuring her portrait with signature elements including bold flower crowns and expressive details.
Suitable for beginners and all levels the session includes:
- All materials provided including pre-printed fabric/hoop, embroidery cotton in rich colours, needles
- Guided instruction on essential stitches e.g., satin, stem, French knots, woven wheels, embellishments
- Techniques for blending threads, adding texture, and personalizing your piece
The workshop is a creative, mindful activity perfect for celebrating Frida's bold spirit, self-expression, and folk-art heritage through needle and thread.
This workshop is partially funded by Learn Harrow. To take part, you’ll need to enrol with them in advance - we’ll send you instructions via email.

Once enrolled, you’ll simply be asked to pick a few learning goals before your session(s) which will help the tutor plan accordingly.
