In celebrating Indian classical music the PRSSV students will be taking you on a journey of :

Classical Dance called “Kathak”. The term Kathak is derived from the Vedic Sanskrit word meaning “she who tells a story”.

Three recitals by the Bansuri students; a Bhajan, Raga Durga and Raga Chandrakauns.

The Tabla students will be exploring a range of dynamic rhythms and time cycles.

The evening culminates with the premiere of a new ensemble piece in Raga Hanswadhani called “Sadhana” performed by senior students of Sitar, Bansuri with Tabla, and concludes with a short professional recital by Sangeet College teachers.
sādhana literally “a means of accomplishing something”, is a generic term coming from the yogic tradition and it refers to any spiritual exercise that is aimed at progressing the sādhaka towards the very ultimate expression of his or her life.
