What's on Offer:

The HAC Young Company is a free-to-access theatre making course for young people aged 16-19. The course has been developed to bridge the gap between HAC’s current Youth Theatre Groups (7-16s) and Young Creatives Programme (19-26s), providing a natural stepping stone between programmes to support the progression of young audiences interested in theatre – whether that be increasing extracurricular access, preparing for further learning, or enhancing creative career prospects.

The course offers a dynamic space for young people to express themselves, develop their craft, and collaborate with like-minded peers. Whether you're a budding actor, director, producer, playwright or puppeteer, we provide the guidance, tools, and opportunities to help you succeed! Through workshops led by industry professionals, and the chance to perform your own work, you’ll build both skills and a supportive network to fuel your creative journey.

This course is funded by Shaftesbury Enterprise, Harrow Schools' charitable and partnership programme. It is designed to support young people who may face barriers to accessing creative training and opportunities. We particularly welcome participants from a wide range of backgrounds, including but not limited to:

  • Young carers
  • Care-experienced young people
  • Those from families receiving income-related benefits
  • Those eligible for free school meals

How to apply:

Applications for the 2025 programme are now closed. We hope to run this course again from September 2026 - please do express your interest by emailing us at participation@harrowarts.com
