A Whole World Shattered, Such Inhumanity, Such Inhumanity, And no Force to Stop them”.

Jonathan Hutchins produced series of Anti-War Paintings based on WW1 exhibited at HAC in 2015, and 2018. As part of the 1914-1918 Commemorations.

Recently he has produced a series artwork for St. Mary’s Harrow on the Passion of Christ. Currently, he is at work on Paintings and Prints inspired by ‘The Trojan Women’ by the Classical Greek Tragedian – playwright Euripides.

The exhibition will encompass this Pacifist themed work, and

it is planned to include a ‘Official Opening’, on the 11^th November, a series of dramatic poetry readings, excerpts from Euripides play and other anti-war literature in the Boiler Room.

Jonathan has produced a very wide range of work over many years since leaving Art College. In the last 20 years he has concentrated on representational art works but in a very wide range of genre, methods and mediums: Oil, Watercolour, pastel, almost all drawing materials and a wider range of printing methods, Off-Set Lithograph, relief printing and most recently Mono-Prints.
