The Covid-19 pandemic is a global event that will continue to be told in history. Responding to this Harrow Arts Centre invited the whole community of Harrow to come together and creatively explore their personal impressions of life in lockdown. This exhibition of over 90 works of art is the culmination of that incredible local effort.
Proving that Harrow is a very talented borough, in this exhibition you will find a rich collection of painting, sculpture, photography, creative writing, poetry, and music on display.
Some have found joy in discovering something new in familiar surroundings, others have used creativity to find solace in complete isolation. These works etch every corner of the experience of lockdown. From observations of colourful NHS rainbows, scenes of empty playgrounds, through to dreams of swimming in seas and lakes…reminding us of the beauty of the natural world surrounding us.
These art works stand as testament of the expression of creativity in the face of communal hardship.
We hope that you find comfort in these and are inspired to create!
No booking is necessary, simply turn up and view. Please note: you must wear a face covering and provide track and trace details when viewing this exhibition.
