I have lived and worked in Harrow since 2006 and been a painter all my adult life. The first series of work I embarked on locally was at Kodak where my studio was in their security portacabin. The drawings and paintings I created onsite were of various buildings and their demolition. These were exhibited at Headstone Manor and Museum in 2008. More recently I’ve been recording the huge developments in Harrow, and can be seen sitting alongside building sites, where I currently paint with watercolour.
It is the domestic and commercial built environment that fascinates me. I love the way in which architecture and the choices people make about their homes and cities reflects the beliefs, needs and aspirations of that time.
