Harrow Arts Centre is a busy theatre, arts and community complex with over 200,000 visitors each year. Every day at Harrow Arts Centre is unique. We hold performances most nights in our performance venues and our creative spaces are used widely for rehearsals and cultural hire across all fields of the arts. We are looking for enthusiastic people who are passionate about the arts to join our team.
The ability to hit the ground running, learn processes fast, and handle a varying workload is vital. In return we are offering a competitive package, flexible working opportunities, and the chance to be involved in a lively community hub.
Artist Call Out: Lest We Forget Poppy Installation
This November, Harrow Arts Centre will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. Harrow 1918: Lest We Forget is a Heritage Lottery Funded, multidisciplinary project focused on commemorating the heritage and legacy of WW1 in Harrow through the celebration of notable individuals and communities from Harrow and popular culture during the era. The project will offer a series of collaborative participatory activities, exhibitions, workshops and film screenings.
Harrow Arts Centre (HAC) is looking for an artist, or artist collective, to lead the development of a participatory installation which will provide opportunities for the Harrow community to create a beautiful ‘Living War Memorial’ of poppies. The installation will be built during our takeover event on Remembrance Sunday, 11th November 2018 and will be in situ for one week. The artwork will be documented through photographs and film.
