Learn to play the bansuri in a supportive and enjoyable environment and where you will be given opportunities to perform at Harrow Arts Centre. Students of all levels and all ages are welcome. No prior knowledge of Indian music required.
The Bansuri is a side-blown (transverse) flute of North India and is made from a single length of bamboo. It is found in North Indian classical music, folk music, film music and numerous other genres.
Sangeet College has been teaching in West London for over 30 years and our teachers are all experienced teachers and also skilled performers. Students have the option to take recognised examinations as their skills and knowledge develop.
Remember that anyone can learn to play the Bansuri - you need a passion for music, time and patience. There is a lot to learn and even if you don't become a professional, it doesn't matter because you will still have played one of the most beautiful instruments in the world.
PRSSV Mission: "We enrich the lives of the people we touch through education and performance, and collaborations with Indian classical music and dance."

PRSSV Sangeet College is a ‘not for profit’ charitable organisation. Donations received are used to help students fund their classes.
