Join us for an engaging sensory pottery workshop and tile-making experience inspired by the rich tradition of decorative tiles found around Harrow.
In this workshop, participants will immerse themselves in sensory activities and explore the art of mark making. For those interested in delving deeper, there will be a specific project focusing on decorative tile making. One section of the workshop will offer a space for free movement, where attendees of all ages can experiment with different mark-making techniques on both dry and wet clay. Get hands-on with clay, experiment with the potter's wheel, and utilise various tools to create unique designs.
On the other side of the room, a dedicated 'dry' table awaits, where participants will discover the beauty of decorative tiles commonly found adorning home entrances in Harrow. Using templates inspired by these local tiles, attendees will decorate their own tiles using colored slips, which will then be glazed and fired to perfection.
Don't miss this multi-sensory adventure that combines creativity with local inspiration!
