Gujutots Gujarati classes are an incredibly fun way to introduce your children to the Gujarati language, connecting them to their cultural heritage through catchy songs, stories with puppetry and engaging activities! Each week, a different theme is taught so the kids learn a vast array of Gujarati vocabulary, from learning about the home, vehicles, animals, to Gujarati rasoi, the seasons, and toys and so much more! The children also immersed into different cultural events like Chinese New Year, Navratri, Easter, and Holi – super colourful and fun ways to learn! The 40-minute classes are structured so the children remain engaged and props and craft materials are provided each week, so all you have to do is show up with your child, meet like minded parents and enjoy the experience of your child learning Gujarati. Classes are taught by Smitty Hindocha, who is super passionate about the Gujarati language and ensuring it survives through the generations. Born in the UK, Smitty grew up speaking Gujarati at home, but completely understands the challenges faced by parents today. She has carefully curated each and every lesson plan, and written and performed all the songs, stories and activities included in every class so that they provide children with a depth and breadth of knowledge of the Gujarati language. In person classes are for children aged 5 and under, but there are also online lessons available for children 12 and under.
