What's on Offer:

The HAC Young Creatives Programme aims to develop the skills and talents of young people looking to begin careers in the theatre industry. The course is designed to develop your individual creative practice, and work together as an ensemble to create a professional production.

Term 1:

  • Skill development through masterclasses such as; Writing for Stage, Directing, Producing, Physical Theatre, Puppetry, Cabaret, Technical Theatre and Marketing
  • Specialised classes taught by industry leading artists and practitioners
  • Learn how to get your work out into the world of theatre! 

Term 2:

  • Work together as an ensemble to create and market a new piece of theatre from scratch
  • Conclude with an intensive showcase week and full ticketed performance - in which WE PAY YOU to take part!

The course will take place on Thursday evenings (term time) between September 2026 - April 2027, with an intensive showcase rehearsal week from 22nd - 25th March 2027. 

Content has been designed to develop your creative skills and your practical knowledge so you’re ready to go out into the industry and take the limelight. What’s more, you’ll meet like-minded creative enthusiasts and become part of a supportive and inspiring artistic community.

Harrow Arts Centre (HAC) is a community driven, professional multi-artform venue in Hatch End, the London Borough of Harrow.

Our purpose is to enhance the quality of life in the borough by enabling access to, and participation in, the arts for everyone. We offer entertainment in the Elliott Hall theatre, creative workshops, as well as dance, visual arts and drama classes.

Having founded the Young Creatives Programme in 2022 with LUNG Theatre, we are very excited to launch its fifth season with our wonderful delivery partner, Hours!

Hours is an acclaimed theatre and circus company led by Artistic Director, Daisy Minto. Their practice is interdisciplinary & collaborative; drawing predominately on theatre, circus arts, cabaret and installation. 

They occupy a unique position as a theatre company using circus arts as an integrated form for storytelling, blending text and story with high-level circus arts and theatrical dramaturgy. They approach creation practice with curiosity, collaboration and a spirit of innovation. Alongside their live performance work, they run extensive education projects, including the Young Creatives Programme at HAC.


This course is subsidised by Learn Harrow. To take part, you’ll need to enrol with them in advance and keep up to date with your course progression via their online learning portal - we’ll send all participants instructions via email. This process secures your place and ensures we can continue to run events like this in the future.
