Around the World: Folklore invites you to step into the wonderful world of folk tales from around the globe. Where will the adventure take you? What history will you learn? This all-day creative workshop during half term is designed to bring out each child’s individual creativity. Actor, artist, or storyteller- this workshop has it all.
This workshop is designed for children between the ages of 6-12 to create performance based on several ancient folk tales all with their own fascinating history with the help of professional creative practitioners. The project will take place in person for a whole day, during which the participants will construct their own performance by engaging with the dramatic arts, create background art/props, learn about the history of various folk tales from around the world, as well as learning songs for the final performance. The aim of the workshop is to give young people the opportunity to gain an insight into the rich history of folklore as well as allowing them to experience multiple aspects of creating a performance in a fun and exciting way.
