‘Intersections’ are a series of abstract paintings on canvas. The paintings show intersecting lines, squares, circles and triangles representing an abstract map. ‘I enjoy creating artworks that take the viewer on a journey of exploration, through a landscape of colours and shapes.’ Koola chose to name the series ‘Intersections’ not only for the design elements of the paintings but also because of the intrinsic nature of artworks in public places. Exhibitions create interactions between people, where they collectively meet to view art then cross and diverge paths.
