The Art of Self-Love is a playful creative course that uses experimental portraiture and fun, self-reflective activities to help you build creative confidence, boost your wellbeing, and help you to develop a lighter, more expansive view of yourself!
Guided by self-taught Artist and recovered perfectionist Dulcie Ball, you’ll get to experiment with lots of different styles, mediums and approaches to drawing portraits, and experience the joy of non-dominant hand drawing to unlock your inner child/Artist!
You’ll also explore graphic medicine and the art of zine-making and have the opportunity to draw and be drawn by others, which will present you with even more inspiration and perspectives. This course is for you if you are looking for a friendly, supportive, and playful environment where you can spend dedicated time exploring your creativity and yourself, alongside others. Please note we will not teach or dwell on technicalities - this isn’t about learning to draw photorealistic portraits. The main aim is to empower you to experiment and embrace your own unique creative style - to see drawing, and to see yourself, from a fresh and playful perspective.
This workshop is presented with funding support from Learn Harrow. You will be required to register with Learn Harrow to take part in this workshop - instructions will follow in a separate email. It is really important you register as future funding for similar events depends on it.
