Through Our lens: Photography Course
–Details
Join our 5-week intergenerational photography course and explore family histories through photography, storytelling, and creativity. Using archival family photographs and personal memories, participants will learn DSLR photography skills while celebrating cultural identity, heritage, and community connections. Together we'll recreate and reinterpret images from the past, fostering pride, confidence, cross-cultural understanding, and meaningful conversations across generations. The course culminates with an exhibition in our White Cube Gallery.
The programme is facilitated by an Associate Lecturer in Photography and an award-winning photographer, combining professional photographic training with creative storytelling and reflective practice. No previous photography experience is required, and all cameras are provided. Participants will leave with a digital portfolio and a collection of creative outcomes inspired by their own family histories.
