New HAC Building Community Meeting

We are delighted to invite you to an online meeting about our proposals for a new building at Harrow Arts Centre (HAC). This follows on from a meeting held earlier this year at HAC on 24th February.
The purpose of the meeting is to present the updated plans for the new build and to hear your views and suggestions. This will allow the project team to conduct a final review and explore any appropriate improvements before we submit planning next month. The updated plans have been informed by feedback received at the last meeting, shaped by comments at a subsequent Design Review Panel and costs submitted by the Quantity Surveyor.
As attendance at the last meeting was good and in order to allow enough time for discussions, two on-line sessions are offered. These are:
- Tuesday 28th July from 6.30pm – 8.00pm, and
- Wednesday 29th July from 6.30pm – 8.00pm.
The online meetings will be held on Zoom. You will only need to attend one session. In order to register your place, please email Shehzad.ahmed@harrow.gov.uk with your name and your preferred slot. You will then receive confirmation of your meeting slot, a link to the online meeting as well as the presentation ahead of the meeting so you can review it in advance.
For information and by way of a reminder, subject to planning, the new build is proposed to be on site of the existing Greenhill Portakabin – which is in Phase 2 of the works to refurbish and improve the facilities at HAC. The new build will deliver multi use space with eight artists’ studios and three large rooms available for hire.
HAC Phase 1 is currently underway and includes refurbishment and repairs of the Studio Theatre/Laundry Room, Boiler House and Workshops. This is currently targeted for completion in late October 2020.
