Our aim is to provide young people of all backgrounds the opportunity to understand how to read a play, to create scenes and share their work by performing on stage to a live audience at the end of each term.
The group for 7-11 year-olds meets once a week on Tuesdays from 4.30pm – 6pm and is led by two skilled theatre practitioners who set a different theme at the beginning of each term.
These themes are explored through a mixture of writing and performance activities in both small and large groups. The group helps to boost confidence and enables young people to express their talent and creativity in a supportive learning environment.
We asked some of our HAC Youth Theatre 7-11 members what they liked most about the group. And this is what they had to say!
Acting, play, making friends and building confidence
Meeting friends, playing games, making up a play, coming up with ideas and having fun
